Aloha,

I have had the privilege of serving as your Representative in the State House and ask you to allow me to continue the work I have started on your behalf.

In education, I believe in and will continue to support teachers, principals and parents - those closest to the students - who have the knowledge and hands-on experience to effect positive change in our public schools. I believe this includes giving them a real decision-making ability at the school level combined with accountability and support.

I am committed to asking the tough questions when it comes to spending your money. As state funding is often the life or death of many projects or programs, I know that it is essential to have an effective and prudent spending plan.

“I have always appreciated Representative Finnegan’s interest and support for Aiea Elementary. She was always approachable and often sought the school’s perspective on educational issues. She has been an excellent facilitator who impressed me with her ability to bring community forces together around specific issues.”

“I have seen Lynn's deep commitment to education in her thoughts and actions. She listens to the challenges teachers face and thinks of innovative ideas to better support schools, teachers, and students. She believes teachers and school communities should have a stronger voice in how money is spent and what should be done because we are the direct links to students. I appreciate her strong moral character and integrity."
